Damn good job I like reading...I've read and commented on 27 DA prose submissions this afternoon.
That oughta teach me to not fall so far behind in future :P

whoa, twenty seven - that's huge! your reading determination is legendary.
jeez, i havent read any prose at dA since TsfE got started. maybe i should get back at it. as i recall, me and you were the only two people haunting the scifi section... now it's down to one, is it? i feel bad, i wish i had time.

Iyah... Me too... I even bookmarked the stupid site so I could go and find stuff easier, and ... Blegh. TIME TIME TIME!!!
On a more positive note, I am working on Part Two, and am in the process of heavy revision for Part One. OT, yes, but. :)

part two... Learning to Fly, right?

On a completely unrelated note, thanks for nominating my story for a devvie, Narain :D -- unfortunately, since someone else nominatd it for another catagory, I think the votes for it are getting split (people don't want to choose it in two different categories). So if you guys haven't already, go check out all the nominees, and if you like mine best, then by all means vote for it (esp. in "most original, where it's trailing by something like 10 votes). And just to keep this from being considered campaining, let me add that you should vote for another piece if you like it best. :)

dammit, that's why you have the ability to start new threads =p ...or you probably wanted to hide your campaigning in an existing thread, did you?
i probably won't vote, cause i havent seen 90% of the deviations there, so it's not a fair choice... if i followed the daily devs, i'd probably have seen them all =p
(July 7th, 2002, 10:52 pm)
Ben, I voted for your story in all the categories it was in :D
(July 8th, 2002, 2:51 am)
Cool, thanks. :D Narian -- you don't have to read and vote on every story (it'll let you do one category at a time), just read the 4 nominated for most original (Desolation, Humiliation, The Grudge, and Murder by Silicon), where I'm now (on this final day of voting) trailing by 2 votes. :-)
(July 8th, 2002, 3:21 am)
holy cow, i better hurry! must... support... ben... ...must... vote.... ...twice...
(July 8th, 2002, 6:21 am)
Woo-hoo! I'm ahead! Thanks! :D (Yeah, I know, I should be humble and not mention it, but I can't resist. :) Incidentally, voting still seems to be up; I guess they're counting from whatever time on the 3rd it opened, not from the beginning of the 3rd.
(July 8th, 2002, 6:22 am)
I bet they're on Pacific Time. It's still the 7th there. ...I really need to get to bed...
(July 8th, 2002, 6:52 am)
you're ahead by four votes... after i voted. you didn't need my vote after all... =p
(July 9th, 2002, 5:49 pm)
Thanks. :) For some reason, though, they haven't stopped the voting yet. Not a tremendous surprise; they were about 6 months late beginning it; they'll probably be at least a few days late ending it.
(July 29th, 2002, 1:09 pm)
did you win?
(July 29th, 2002, 6:06 pm)
...because they haven't stopped the voting yet. :D I was ahead for several weeks, now I'm behind by 2 votes.
(July 31st, 2002, 1:30 pm)
still not over? that is wack!
maybe the author who overtook you started campaigning post-haste... ;)
