Apparently, they're automatically stripped -- thus making my "Art" story somewhat incomprehensible. Heh.

That would probably be right...wonder why we didn't notice it before...

And I griped about it.
Did anyone listen? Nooo... :)
I also want a "Comments" tracker, not just a "Views" tracker. In fact, the Views tracker could go if I could get a comment tracker in its place. It'd be nice to have both of them, though, then we could have a "Best Of TSFE" section where we list the most viewed/ravingly commented works... Or, better yet, add a Rating bar with four or five buttons/stars...
I'm thinking big again. BUT - This is not the first time I've brought it up.

Once again Semi diverts another perfectly good thread to his own ideas. =p Funny, I don't remember you saying anything about backslashes ever... And you can't expect me to listen to something I never come across :)
I never noticed the backslash-removal thing before, but Semi's got a good idea there with the comments tracker. I wondered why comments weren't tracked, but never got round to bringing it up.
But I don't like the idea of branding stories with stars or such. That usually leads to a vicious cycle - the most viewed/commented works get displayed higher, so more people read and comment on those, so they get even more points... The rich get richer, so to speak.
Oh and since we're on the topic of site improvements, the biography section in the user pages eats up line breaks and it all appears as one paragraph. That's not good.

Yeah, I've been thinking of adding a comments entry myself. Probably get around to it some point today. *EDIT* DONE *EDIT*
I'll look into the line breaking biographies later.
